Taproot Collective designs and supports shared urban greenspaces and the programming that unlocks its potential for: food sovereignty, youth employment, environmental justice, community building, and racial equity.

Over the course of a year, this work can take many forms, but it always involves significant levels of collaboration with partnering organizations. Sometimes, we have the chance to get our hands dirty by caring for gardens with our summer youth interns and sometimes it looks like field research and policy meetings. Our goal in all of this work is the same, to help sow the seeds of a more just and equitable future for our city.
